Our Technology Strategist / Managing Director Kurt Mirow sees the value of Floatation Therapy and is an executive committee member of Floatation Therapy Australia. This not-for-profit industry group helps educate the community and practitioners about the benefits of floatation therapy
We responsibly recycle all electronic devices by appropriate means if they are unfit for reuse, resale, or donation. We assist all our clients in reducing, reusing, and recycling their old equipment. We have a technology donation program where we will refurbish computers and donate to community organisations.
Kurt has been involved with computers since his first Commodore 64 in the late 1980s. He completed a number of TAFE computer courses throughout high school starting in year 8. This has led to a genuine love of all things IT.
He started an IT component supplies business in 2000 at the age of 19 while attending University. The business supplied Universities, the CSIRO and engineering firms with specialised and cutting edge mini PC equipment. He went on to sell close to $1 Million worth of IT equipment across Australia.
In 2007 Kurt realised that professional services were the future and went to work for a Toowoomba-based IT services company. That role gave him the opportunity to work with some of the city’s leading businesses and hone his strategic design and problem-solving skills, leading to the creation of Identity Computing.
Kurt is passionate about the work he does with other businesses and goes above and beyond to design unique solutions that get results. His driving motivation in business is to help other people and their businesses succeed.
He also owned a Floatation Therapy business in Brisbane for 5 years before closing due to Covid and served on the Float Therapy Australia board for 4 years. During this time he assisted in raising awareness of Floatation Therapy, which is a great companion to traditional mental health interventions like cognitive behavioural therapy.
Kurt believes in giving back to the community and aims to help wherever he can. He has proudly donated blood over the past 7 years culminating in over 100 plasma donations at LifeBlood with a standing appointment to donate plasma every two weeks. He is also a wonderful husband to Emma with their two fur babies to round out their family.
